This can be a teacher, family member, book you read, or an experience that had a positive outcome and/or planted seeds of positivity for your future self.

What are afraid of that may be holding you back from trying something new? Is it failure, humiliation, loneliness, poverty?

This fear may be a recent development, but take a moment to reflect back on the caregivers from your early years to see if this is a new or old fear for you.

This can be anything, such as a college degree you attained, expanding your family, purchasing a home, learning a new language, or taking a road trip.

These may or may not be the same as your greatest fear from above.

Was there anything someone said, that you read, heard, or watched that helped you mentally and/or physically overcome the fear?

Do you ever criticize yourself? What are the words you use when you do?

Examples: Trust / Strength / Peace / This too shall pass / Everything is temporary / Focus on the positive / I am amazing / I am enough.

This can be your flexibility, patience, ability to listen, the way you make a croissant - anything that you feel makes you uniquely you. If you think of more than one, list them all here.

If you would like to share any reflections about this experience or make notes for us to discuss in our next session, feel free to write it here.
